Two british volunteers Kirstie Trup and Katie Gee were flown back to Britain after someone splashed battery acid on them in the small African Country of Zanzibar.
The teenage victims of the acid attack may have been targeted in a revenge attack by a spurned admirer, according to friends on the idyllic island. They are currently receiving treatment in London and may require multiple surgeries.
They were reported to have been walking to meet friends for dinner when two men splashed battery acid over them on Wednesday.
