PRINCE ADEYEYE OGUNWUSI EMERGES AS NEW OONI OF IFE.


The Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola has approved the appointment of a new Ooni of Ife.

He is Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi of Giesi Ruling House of Ile-Ife, State of Osun.

The Secreatary to Osun state government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti said the choice of Ogunwusi as the Ooni follows the completion of the due process by the kingmakers and the communication of their decision to Government.


 Until his appointment on Monday, Ogunwusi was non-executive at Imperial Homes Mortgage Bank Limited (a subsidiary of GTBank).

He is a graduate of Accountancy and a certified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and of the Institute of Management.

Adeyeye is currently the Managing Director of Howard Roark Gardens Limited which is undertaking multi-million naira Jacob Mews Estate project in Yaba and the Lakeview real estate development in Lekki.




He has been involved in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts locally and abroad for over 11 years. He was involved in the development of the Northern Foreshore Estate, Cityscape International Limited’s Buena Vista project in Lekki, Primewaterview Limited’s projects, Westcom Limited’s projects, and the Ajaokuta Steel’s and Delta Steel’s resuscitation projects.


Below are 10 things you need to know about the new Ooni of Ife.

1. Prince Ogunwusi has been involved in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) in Nigeria, and internationally for over 12 years. He is directly involved in the development of over 2,500 housing units in Nigeria, over the last 8 years.

2. The new Ooni of Ife was responsible for the establishment of the Association for International Business (AIB) in Nigeria.

3.  He led the Government delegation team to Canada in 2002 for strategic alliances and partnership with Ondo State Government on solid mineral potentials of the state. This would lead to the formation of Amalgamated Mining and Exploration Company Limited, owned by the state government.

4. The newly appointed monarch facilitated the biggest Lead and Aluminum recycling plant set up in Nigeria by National Steel Company of India in Ota, Ogun State.

5. Prince Adeyeye is the founder of Essential Homes, a real estate project that delivers affordable upscale homes to the middle and low income earners.

6. The new Ooni of Ife employs over 300 youth at the Inagbe Cocowood Factory and has over 450 direct employees in his various companies.

7. Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi is on the Board of; Imperial Homes Mortgage Bank Limited, (formerly GTHomes), GTBank Plc and FinaTrust Microfinance Bank Limited.

8. He is a member of several professional bodies, which include; Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), an Associate Accounting Technician and a certified member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Nigeria as well as Global Real Estate Institute (GRI).

9.
