Since the 11th of November 2013, thousands of people have thronged the Nachi community in Udi Local Government, Enugu State in search of miracles.
Miracle not through a prophet or a church but from a lake that allegedly sprang from the ground. Reports informed that Fulani herdsman spotted the rising of the water from the ground, then communicated same to their brothers in far away north. They claim there was an initial prophecy that such will happen and that the water possesses healing powers. The water allegedly cured the blindness one of their brothers who drank and bathed with it.
When the news spread, the lake became famous. People traveled from very far places to put their faith to test. The result is what can be observed in the video. Very dirty and as reported smelly water. My people still do not mind and I sincerely can't blame them. The reason is not far fetched.
We live in a poverty stricken country where such news of miracles sells faster than the speed of light. People cannot afford basic healthcare hence will jump at free miracles wherever it is available. I doubt if the Enugu state government have taken steps to address the looming epidemic as a result of the many users who have drank and swam in the famous healing water.
Miracles are real no doubt. I have had personal experiences of divine visitations but a situation where no one has been able to come out publicly to reveal that he/she was healed of a specific ailment after visiting Nachi Lake yet people still travel there daily is disheartening
Business is booming in Nachi, from Okada Riders to Suya Sellers and even Jerry Can sellers. One of these people making gains from this event might have even orchestrated and packaged this lake into a miracle lake.
The news of healing will reach you through this medium once there is any although we might wait till eternity.
