NBA star, Dwayne Wade finally proposed to his girlfriend, Gabrielle Union with a One Million Dollar diamond set on a platinum band ring and as expected, she said YES.
Wade (31) has been dating his Actress sweeteheart Gabrielle(41) for quite some time. It was the most romantic moment of her life and couldn't contain her joy.
The picture released reveals the Miami Heat basketball player Dwyane Wade's proposal on Saturday and shows her embracing her new fiancé while he is still on bended knee. The cute picture shows Union dressed in a white skirt and grey and black vest top holding Dwayane’s head in her hands. While her face is hidden by her glossy black hair, his huge smile is clearly evident as he poses on bended knee with his head leaning against her, clearly having just proposed.
The 41-year-old Think Like A Man actress shared the thrilling news on her Twitter page along with a picture of the spectacular ring on her finger on Saturday.
'Sooooo this happened...#Yessss,' Gabrielle excitedly wrote in the caption.
'She said YES!!!' Dwyane, echoed on his own Twitter account, alongside a post of the same photo. The photo is a close-up of just her hand wearing the dazzling ring and resting gently on Dwyane's fingertips.
And apparently Dwayne took his time in finding the perfect stone for the ring - sending his jeweller to Miami in search of the right gem, and on the third trip he found the enormous diamond which he set in a platinum band.
The couple began dating in 2009 and, despite their obvious affection for one another, broke up briefly earlier this year.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show, Dwyane told Jay Leno: 'For us this was a big year for our relationship from the standpoint she was shooting her show, Being Mary Jane, and gone most of the year.
'I was dealing with my injuries, trying to win a championship. So we kind of took a step back. 'At the end of the day, we came back together and said we want to continue this and we want to get better each day.
She's been with me and I've been with her all summer long. We’re going strong now.' 'She makes my eyes sparkle,' Dwayne told Oprah Winfrey on Oprah's Next Chapter last summer.
Dwyane is father to an 11-year-old son, Zaire, from a previous marriage.
'The biggest time she makes my eyes sparkle is when Zaire comes home and homework is a little hard that day, so he's stressing, and she goes to the table with him and she sits down until he gets it.'
