NIGERIA, COTE D'IVOIRE & CAMEROON QUALIFY FOR BRAZIL 2014

The Super Eagles of Nigeria yesterday qualified for the 2014 World Cup by beating Ethiopia 2- 0 in Calabar. The Eagles have never lost a match in that city. Nigeria won 4-1 on aggregate.

Although the eagles were not at their characteristic best, they managed to score a penalty which was converted by Victor Moses in the first half and a free-kick curled in by Obinna Nsofor, which caught the Ethiopian goalkeeper off guard.

Brown Ideye missed two sitters. It will be very surprising if Keshi doesn't drop him for future matches. Recall his woeful performance at the CONFED cup played in Brazil earlier this year. Ahmed Musa also missed an almost empty net. There are better choices than this duo.

Cote d'voire survived the fire power of  the Teranga Lions of Senagal when they drew to win 4-2 on aggregate. They joined Nigeria as qualifiers.

The Lions of Cameroon defeated Tunisia by 4 - 1 to also book their place, The first leg ended 0-0 in Tunis.
