LIVERPOOL LEADS IN THE EPL AS THEY DESTROYED TOTTENHAM BY 4 - 0.

Liverpool currently leads with 71 points after thrashing Tottenham... Eight win in a row is no small feat but Manchester City with 2 games at hand will fancy their chance.

The next couple of fixtures will be very important for all 4 teams......... Liv, Che, ManC and Ars.

THE CRIMEAN CRISIS AND GLOBAL PEACE.

In the past few weeks, the world has found itself sitting on edge following the ominous developments in Crimea, a former territory of Ukraine, which has now been annexed by Russia. To all intents and purposes, this development poses an existential threat to the security of Europe, and by extension the whole world, due to the hardline posturing of the prominent actors. As the crisis there continues to unfold, it is pertinent to realise that those involved are not only big powers, but have between them awesome military capabilities of destroying the entire human civilisation in the event of an armed conflict. For some time now, the world has been holding its breadth and watching anxiously as Europe and America square up with Russia for the political soul of Ukraine.

The Department of State Service, DSS , confirmed, yesterday, that 21 Boko Haram suspects were killed in a shoot-out at its detention centre between its operatives and the sect members. DSS said two of its operatives sustained serious injuries.

The detained terrorists reportedly over-powered the guards, shot several operatives and attempted to stage a daring escape from detention.

There were, however, different accounts on how the attempted jailbreak was carried out.
Meanwhile, Presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati, denied reports, yesterday, that President Goodluck Jonathan was whisked away during the attempted jailbreak and shootout.

MILITARY KILLS OVER 2,000 BOKO HARAM INSURGENTS AS 20 SOLDIERS ARE CURRENTLY MISSING IN SAMBISA FOREST RAID.

The Armed Forces bombarded Boko Haram insurgents last weekend resulting in high casualties on the side of the terrorists.

Punch reports that no fewer than an estimated 2,000 insurgents were killed in a combined operation by Special Forces and the men of the Air Force on Friday and Saturday in the volatile Sambisa Forest of Borno State, which has become a prominent hideout of the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram.

What would have been a great victory for the Special Forces was, however, marred by an operational misunderstanding between the ground troops and the officers in the Air Force Alpha Jet.

Investigations revealed that 20 soldiers are still missing as a result of the operational misunderstanding.

It was learnt that mid-way into the operation, the Air Force Alpha Jet radioed the ground forces who had advanced in three companies, that they should withdraw because it was running out of bombs. It was learnt that while the second and the third battalions withdrew, the first company of soldiers did not get the critical operational order.

THE ELUSIVE "ROBUST REPLY".

August 2013 was the month many social media enthusiasts first heard about the "COZA SEX SCANDAL"

As usual, the story went round like a wildfire and certain names were all over the trends.

1. ESE WALTER (Abuja based OAP)
2. PASTOR BIODUN FATOYINBO (Senior Pastor, COZA, Abuja)
3. COZA (The Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Abuja).

These names have since stuck into many people's head and the scandal of course have not been forgotten even though we have moved on to better things.
Many events have since passed during the period including the marriage of the whistle-blower, Ese Walter to her heartthrob. This particularly is a positive one for the young woman who defied all odds, abuses, threats and castigation to reveal to us that some of our pastors are indeed "god of men and not Men of GOD".

She claimed the Pastor had an affair with her.... he committed adultery. In fact, they made are remove the post from her blog but the full details of the post was already scattered on online.

This post serves to remind Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA (Abuja) that the "ROBUST REPLY" he promised us is still pending. At least, nobody forced him to make such declarations on the altar, hence it is only fair for him to keep his promise.

Remember, only GOD can judge, hence we are not condemning the flamboyant pastor. All we are requesting for is the "ROBUST REPLY" he promised. Many are of the school of thought that he actually committed adultery with Ese, yet he is leading the COZA congregation to HE*****.

Nigerians still haven't learnt to hold their spiritual and political leaders accountable for their actions, thus it is unsurprising that Pastor Biodun's foot soldiers are always quick to debunk criticisms about him.

We need to learn and learn fast indeed.... Read Pastor Yonggi Cho's journey to jail maybe the veil on your face may disappear.

GOODLUCK JONATHAN'S ADMINISTRATION IS SHAMELESS - ASIWAJU BOLA TINUBU

The All Progressives Congress leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Saturday described President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration as shameless. He added that rather than account for the alleged missing $20bn oil revenue, it kept giving untenable excuses.

Tinubu said, “They are so shameless that the number of years they have ruled does not matter to them. Don’t change the subject matter. Account for the missing money or go. All the explanations they gave about the missing money are just explanations. They steal from pensioners. We must kick them out.”

The APC leader who spoke at the sixth Bola Tinubu Colloquium in Lagos titled ‘The Summit of the Common man’, added that the electorate would not continue to vote for a government that refused to give them electricity.

CUTTING OFF BOKO HARAM'S FOREIGN INFLUENCE.

The operations and increasing sophistication of the attacks by Boko Haram and its affiliate, Ansaru, bear the strong imprint of foreign connection and support. While the sect may have started its murderous exploits with local backing and funding, its operations have since gained international currency.

The latest suggestion of Boko Haram’s strong affiliation to international terror groups is fuelled by the recent seizure of a cache of arms shipped into Nigeria through the Turkish Airlines, a company 49 per cent owned by Turkey’s government. “I do not know whether these (weapons) will kill Muslims or Christians. I feel sinful,” Mehmet Karatas, an airline executive who allegedly confessed his guilt over the shipment, reportedly told Mustafa Varank, an adviser to Turkey’s Prime Minister, Recep Erdogan.

Although officials of the Nigerian Navy said they took delivery of some arms flown by Turkish Airlines into Lagos, these arms movements are weighty issues at a time of virtual war in the North-East. The issue should not to be taken lightly as Boko Haram attacks escalate in spite of a state of emergency declared since last May.

BOWEN UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES RESUMPTION DATES FOR RIOTING STUDENTS.

The management of the Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, has set up a panel of enquiry to investigate the cause of the March 19 and 20 protest by the students of the university.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mathews Ojo, said this at a press conference on Wednesday evening.

He said the panel, which would include two representatives of the students, was headed by the Dean of Science, Prof. Samuel Ilori.

He added that the university also planned to hold a stakeholders and parents’ meeting at Ibadan, Lagos and Osogbo from March 28 to March 31.

PETER OBI LEAVES A WHOOPING N75B SAVINGS FOR THE NEW ANAMBRA GOVERNMENT.

After eight glorious years in the saddle as governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi took a bow on Monday, March 17, 2014, and handed the baton to Chief Willie Obiano at a colourful ceremony in Awka, the state capital. In spite of his tortuous experience in office, Obi’s tenure in the state is historical as he bequeaths Anambra State an enduring legacy that will become the reference point of governance in Nigeria.

The ambience and conviviality of the handover event was unprecedented in Anambra State’s history. Indeed, the event lived up to Mr. Obi’s mantra of finishing strong. Anambrans were full of eulogy for a man who is the epitome of true leadership and good governance. Little wonder he left a princely N75 billion in cash and assets.

This feat sounds incredible in a country where profligacy in the nation’s corridors of power is a pop culture, and where it is difficult to draw the border line between public wealth and personal estate. The N75 billion included N25 billion local investment portfolio; bank balances of N11.5 billion as at March 14, 2014; Federal Government’s approved refund of N10 billion; and US$155 million (N26 billion) in foreign currency investment.

#IBADANFORESTOFHORROR - WHY THE RUSH TO CRUSH THE EVIDENCE?????

Befuddlement douses the recent police raid of Soka area of Oyo State on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway where, by police’s account a den of kidnappers was uncovered. The graphic images of the discoveries are causes for concern.

Whose decaying body parts littered the place? Can the 20 decomposing bodies be identified? Who are the 23 people – 18 men and five women – found in the place? The poor state of their health and the fact that their legs were manacled suggests that they could have been held captive.

Neighbours have testified of possible unwholesome activities in the area, including child trafficking, sale of human parts, and newly born babies. They said their complaints to the police were untreated.

#BLACKREALVOLUTION SET FOR LAUNCH TODAY.

The suspense and anticipation surrounding the #BlackREALvolution will be laid to rest on Friday, March 28, when the movement will be formally launched. Popular musicians, Femi Anikulapo-Kuti, Nigeria’s king of afro-beat and 2Face Idibia, afro hip-hop exponent, have shown their support for the Movement.

There has been an upsurge in support of the #BlackREALvolution from other celebrities. Music acts such as Sound Sultan and Chuddy K, comedians Bovi and Gordons and superstar disc jockey, DJ Xclusive, have also thrown their weight behind the Movement.

Popular Nigerian musician, Sound Sultan, described the birth of the Movement as timely. He said: “I support peace and unity; I support any cause that fights against injustice and oppression. I advocate creativity, honesty and hard-work among the Nigerian youths. I support making Nigeria a better place. I will be at the launch of this Movement.”
