Exactly eighteen years ago,10th November 1995 precisely, in the midst of Nigeria's tragic military rule, Gen Sani Abacha(Late) decided to execute Ken Saro-Wiwa and eight other Ogoni leaders. Their alleged crime and trial was condemned by all but alas..............The rest is history....Tragic History.

They were simply protesting against the pollution and degradation of their environment by SHELL, yet no one listened to them.They demanded for the rights of the Ogoni people peacefully, yet they killed them.

THE WRATH OF NATURE - TYPHOON HAIYAN AT A SPEED OF 237KM/H KILLS 100 IN PHILIPPINES

The most powerful storm ever has hit the Philippines. The monster TYPHOON (Tropical Cyclone), with winds reaching 237km/h, killed more than 100 people, tossed houses into the sea and sent millions fleeing for shelter in the Philippines yesterday.

The poverty-stricken country has already endured almost a year of earthquakes and floods with no fewer than 24 disastrous weather events.

An official of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps owns 61 houses in Abuja have been bursted in Abuja for several crimes.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission, ICPC, said it has broken the ring of land racketeers in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The agency said it seized 61 houses, plots of land and several bank accounts belonging to a top official of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSDC, an agency whose many officials were involved in the fraud.

Kasali Adegoke, the leader of the armed robbery gang that robbed popular fuji musician, Wasiu Alabi aka Pasuma, of his 2006 Range Rover Sport, says he sold the vehicle for N950,000.

A search on the Internet by our correspondent, however, suggested that used version of the vehicle sells for N3.5m, while a new one costs between N8m and N9m.

THREE ZENITH BANK WORKERS ARRESTED FOR $2M FRAUD

The Special Anti Robbery Squad, Ikeja, Lagos have arrested Three employees of Zenith Bank Plc national headquarters, Ajose Adeogun street, Victoria Island, Lagos State, for their alleged involvement in a $2m fraud.

Police sources stated that a senior official of the bank, Ms. Olubukola Oritogun, and two others allegedly defrauded unsuspecting customers of the said sum. A fourth yet-to-be identifed person is said to be on the run.

This strange looking creature was washed up the Brazilian beach.  I am very sure this won't be the last of such unknown sea animals.
