OAU GRADUATE ARRESTED FOR IMPERSONATING MEDICAL DOCTOR IN LAGOS

Policemen attached to the Area H police command Ogudu, Lagos, have arrested one Adeyemi Akintolure  for allegedly impersonating a medical doctor.

The suspect, who was paraded on Thursday, was arrested following a petition that he fraudulently obtained the sum of N500,000 (Five hundred thousand naira) from one Joy Umosekhaimhe.

KIDNAPPERS DEMAND N500M FOR ORONTO DOUGLAS' SISTER


Kidnappers of Augusta Douglas-Ayam, the sister to the Presidential Adviser on Research, Documentation and Strategy, Oronto Douglas, broke their silence yesterday as they contacted the victim's husband and demanded N500 million ransom.

Douglas-Ayam was seized and taken to an unknown area in the creeks by nine gunmen, who wore army uniform. The assailants, who operated on a black speedboat, abducted her at the Ogbia waterside about 8:45pm on Monday after shooting into the air.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority were compelled to purchase Two BMW-760 bulletproof vehicles for the almighty Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah.

The minister through her PR had initially denied this allegation which was rubbished when more facts emerged including the date of purchase. The procurement was even done on credit while First Bank of Nigeria Plc was said to have stood in as a guarantor for the agency with Coscharis Motors Limited.

APC WOOS SEVEN PDP REBEL GOVERNORS


In a desperate move to boost its rank, the All Progressives Congress has opened the door for the Seven Rebel PDP Governors(gG7 to join the party.

This will be a major decider if the Governors eventually agrees as the PDP will face even more stiffer opposition for majority control at national level. The APC, promised to handover the complete control of APC structures in the states of those G7 Governors to them.

The alleged pirate kingpin was been arrested in a Hollywood-style sting that lured him from Somalia to Belgium to work on a fake documentary about high-seas crime.

POWERFUL EARTHQUAKE ROCKS THE PHILIPPINES


Earlier today, a powerful magnitude-7.1 earthquake struck central Philippines, leaving at least 20 people dead and rattling many who were celebrating a religious holiday.

The quake, which struck early in the morning, crumbled a number of buildings and sent panicked people streaming into the streets, witnesses said.

ANOTHER CRASH AVERTED AS IRS PLANE MAKES EMERGENCY LANDING IN KADUNA


Another air plane disaster was averted on Sunday as an IRS plane transporting about 99 people from Lagos made an emergency landing at the Kaduna Airport due to hydraulics leakage.

The incident happened 10  days after 15 people  were killed   in  an Associated Airlines plane  crash in Lagos and nine days after a Kabo Airlines Boeing 747  aircraft also made an emergency landing in Sokoto Airport, Sokoto.

JAY-Z is easily one of the most successful artist ever but he displayed a rare act of humbleness as he rode in public transport in london.

The 43-year-old hitmaker was spotted travelling on London’s underground on Saturday after his performance at the O2 arena in London. He was accompanied by his close friends Chris Martin, producer Timbaland, manager Ty Ty and Atlanta Records executive Michael Kyser.
