LET ME DO MY JOB - JONATHAN SPEAKS TO DETRACTORS

That the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is distracted is an understatement, He is currently fighting a political war in his own party, a war whose outcome will determine his Political fate. The headache of the newly formed and strong opposition party APC is also shining its teeth at him. I wonder how he's suppose to attend to the numerous crisis in almost all sectors especially in the education, power and security sectors.

In response to the barrage of criticism in recent weeks, especially from the seven aggrieved governors of his own Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday told his critics to stop distracting him and allow him to do his job, warning those seeking his job “not to blow up the house you are seeking to occupy with dynamite.”

Letters from HiZen-3 (1)

Dear Child,

If you’re reading this letter, it shows that my doctor has informed me that I don’t have that much time left to live, my illness has done its work and it’s almost time for me to obey nature’s call to eternity.

Even though I’m over 96 years old, I have lived a wonderful and fulfilling life, filled with a lot of adventure; some disappointments along the way of course, but that only makes life’s journey sweeter and inspiring to reflect on.

I’m sure you’re wondering why I have decided to tell you everything through writing letters, well, I can explain that. First of all, I’m not able to speak as clearly as I want to and secondly, I am constantly surrounded by doctors, so I can’t be alone with you.

I DID NOT STEAL MONEY >>> EX-CONVICT BODE GEORGE

Former PDP Vice-Chairman, BODE GEORGE, who spent time in jail few years ago recounts his ordeal with a PUNCH reporter.

Read the full interview below...................

Are you a thief?

I can refer you to the judgment because it’s already in the public view. At least, the judge was honest enough to say ‘no kobo was missing’. It was the greatest convoluted conspiracy that I have ever seen in my life. But you know, as a Christian, if you have belief in God and your faith is very strong, you don’t get shaken.

First of all, if we split contract, it would be for whose benefit? I’m not a contractor; the company did not belong to anybody on the board, so in whose interest? Two, nobody brought a contractor, whether they executed the job, whether they were paid the money, we just finished and the rest was left to the management. Whether they even awarded the contract, I didn’t know. I’ve been keeping quiet but the public must know this and those that have been writing ex-convict think they are abusing me, but they are raining curses on themselves and their families and it will happen. In the name Jesus, all who are convolutedly involved, it will happen to them.

People think that Bode George stole money; whoever is putting it down is raining curses on himself, anytime he writes that. Let him go and find out exactly what happened.

JAMES IBORI GAVE ME N2.4BN ($15M) BRIBE - NUHU RIBADU

Nuhu Ribadu, former EFCC Boss, finally gave his testimony against Convict Ibori in a London court.

Desperate to halt a probe into his finances, former Delta State Governor James Ibori tried to bribe anti-corruption boss Nuhu Ribadu in 2007 with $15m in cash in a bag so heavy one man alone could not lift it, Ribadu told a London court on Thursday.

Reuters quoted Ribadu as telling the court that he pretended to take the bribe because he wanted the cash as evidence to use against Ibori in a prosecution, but rather than keep the money for himself he had it taken straight to the Central Bank of Nigeria to be kept safe in a vault.

Ibori was governor of oil-producing Delta State in southern Nigeria from 1999 to 2007. In 2012, he pleaded guilty at London’s Southwark Crown Court to 10 counts of fraud and money-laundering and was jailed for 13 years.

He is the most senior Nigerian politician to be held to account for the corruption that has for decades held back Africa’s most populous nation and top oil producer.
