The 35-year-old, from Henan province, was sentenced to death in March 2012 for keeping the women in his grim tiny cellar and for his role in the murder of two of them. The local government clerk had built a dungeon in his basement where he forced the women to work as prostitutes.

HERO - 8 YEAR OLD RESCUES 6 RELATIVES FROM FIRE DIES TRYING TO SAVE 7TH (HIS GRANDFATHER)

In his final moments, 8-year-old Tyler Doohan managed to rescue six people including two younger children  from a burning mobile home in upstate New York, authorities said.

A last-ditch effort, however, to save his disabled grandfather cost the boy his life. His body was found next to his grandfather, whom Tyler considered a best friend. "It makes me really proud, it really does, but I just want him back," Tyler's mother, Crystal Vrooman said.

Tyler, an East Rochester resident, was staying at the home of relatives in the nearby town of Penfield on Sunday night when he noticed a fire in the single-wide trailer, said Penfield Fire Chief Chris Ebmeyer.

In the letter, Mr. Abe pointedly accused unnamed officials of the Nigerian federal government of plotting to kill him. He accused the government officials of having instructed the Rivers State Police Command to eliminate him.

REAL MADRID IS SOCCER'S RICHEST CLUB AS MANCHESTER UNITED'S FORTUNES DWINDLES

Not only are Manchester United's fortunes sliding on the pitch, their fortune could also be dwindling off it.

Despite seeing a rise in revenue to $574 million, for the first time in 17 years they can no longer count themselves among the top three richest football clubs in the world. For an organization that once spent eight years on top of the annual money table -- compiled by business advisory firm Deloitte -- it represents a financial blow for one of soccer's most decorated clubs.

Spanish giants Real Madrid came top for a record ninth consecutive year despite winning no silverware last season -- with a total revenue of $702 million, $47 million ahead of domestic rivals Barcelona in second.
Read: Man Utd slump to cup defeat. Combined revenue for the top 20 clubs of all whom play in Europe was up 8% to $7.3 billion.

SHOCKING - NIGERIAN MEN MURDERING THEIR WIVES IN THE USA - ABIODUN LADEPO

"Yes I have killed the woman that messed up my life; the woman that has destroyed me. I am at Shalom West. My name is David and I am all yours.”

Those were David Ochola’s words during his 911 (U.S. Emergency Number) call to authorities after shooting dead his 28 years old wife, Priscilla Ochola, in Hennepin, Minnesota. The 50-years old husband was tired of being “disrespected” by his wife, a Registered Nurse (RN) whom he had brought from Nigeria and sponsored through nursing school only to have her make much more than him in salary - a situation which led to Mrs. Ochola “coming and going as she chose without regard for her husband.”  The couple had two children – four years old boy and a three years old girl.

On the 15th of January 2014,  I got married to my lover and Best Friend. It was such an intimate event, I haven't stopped apologising to family and friends who feel slighted that they could not attend.  I really did not wish to keep it a secret, If anything we would have loved to have all our loved ones there with us but this was our registry and  so much had happened between Maje and I in the last 3 months. Plus, it was such a huge surprise, I had no clue. I hate surprises but I must say, this one knocked me out of my elements because i usually suspect something is happening. Hehehehe!  I am not fully over it yet.

Relationships are tough, people go through the ups and downs and we as a couple have had our share of that. Having a private moment was not to offend anyone, it was God's appointed time and No, I am not pregnant. Lol.  Having a baby is a precious gift from God and when that time is right, I am sure he will bless us with ours. Without boring you all, cos you mean so much to me, I have decided to share some of the pictures from the happiest day of my life.

Congrats Toke.....................

OKONJO IWEALA ABUSED THE IMPORT WAIVERS - NIGERIA CUSTOMS SERVICE REPORTS

Coordinating Minister of the Economy - Okonjo Iweala
The Customs says under the waiver regime supervised by  Okonjo-Iweala, more than 65 percent of  incentives on export were for  questionable goods

In the last three years, Nigeria lost a staggering N1.4 trillion on import waivers – not N171 billion as claimed by finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala — and lost hundreds of billions of naira more as authorities recklessly grant import/export incentives on unapproved goods from rice to fish to kolanuts, with no significant bearing on the economy, the Nigeria Customs Service has said in a new document seen by investigative journalism outfit PREMIUM TIMES.

Comparing the government’s export grant to the well-abused fuel subsidy, the Customs said more than 65 percent of beneficiaries received the grant for goods not approved by the government, which ordinarily should be limited to raw materials, machinery and spare parts.

TUKUR - AN ANTICLIMAX TO A TURBULENT JOURNEY

His assumption of office was as dramatic as it was chaotic. But even at that, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur believed that his rejection at home by the governors of the North-East, was not enough to stop his dream of leading Nigeria’s largest political party.

With President Goodluck Jonathan’s support, protest by the governors against his choice was irrelevant. The governors had preferred a former Acting National Secretary of the party, Dr. Musa Babayo, who hails from Bauchi State.

The governors carried their protest against Tukur to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, after Tukur had been beaten at the party’s shadow election in the North-East zone. Babayo beat Tukur by 14 votes to two. Governors Isa Yuguda, Murtala Nyako and Danbaba Suntai of Bauchi, Adamawa and Taraba states respectively, led the protest.

BILLIONAIRE (OTUDEKO) SUES BILLIONAIRE(DANGOTE) OVER LAND..........DEMANDS $48M IN DAMAGES

A Federal High Court, Lagos, on Tuesday fixed February 6 to hear a suit filed by Oba Otudeko against Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the Nigerian Ports Authority over a land dispute.

Justice Okon Abang adjourned the case at the instance of the counsel to Dangote, Mrs Fola Sowemimo, to enable her to file written statement on oath.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Otudeko, Chairman of Honeywell Group, had filed the suit in 2006 at Justice Ramat Mohammed’s court. He is claiming $48m against the defendants as damages for breach of contract over a 10.8 square metres of land within the Lagos Ports Complex, known as the 5th Apapa Wharf Extension.
