OUR CHILDREN RAPE US.......

Christ mothers from Mgbishii, a sleepy rural community in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area in Imo State, have cried out to the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, His Grace, Dr. Anthony Obinna, over alleged attrocities being committed by their sons and daughers in the area.

The women visited Archbishop Obinna at the Maria Assumpta Catholic Cathedral, Owerri, where they complained that they were being raped by their own sons on daily basis.

“We are raped and molested by our own children. You cannot come to Mgbuishii and return home safely because of the crime,” the women told Archbishop Obinna.

RAPED COLLEGE STUDENT WILL CARRY HER MATTRESS EVERYWHERE UNTIL HER ALLEGED RAPIST IS EXPELLED.

A college student has taken the fight against her rapist and school authorities into her own hands as she has vowed to continue carrying her mattress everywhere she goes on her campus until the alleged rapist is expelled.

Emma Sulkowicz says she was raped in her own dorm bed by a classmate on the first day of her sophomore year of college. Since then, a substantial amount of her time at Columbia University has been spent trying to convince college administrators, police, and even friends that what happened to her really happened, that it was rape, and that her rapist deserves to be punished for what he did.

Sulkowicz is one of 23 students who are part of a federal Title IX complaint filed against Columbia in April for mishandling sexual-assault cases. Though she and two other students reported that the same student had assaulted them, all of their claims were swept under the rug, and the male student was not expelled from campus.

(VIDEO) THE ARMED STANDOFF BETWEEN THE NIGERIAN POLICE AND CIVIL DEFENSE.

We have seen this occur many times between various "Armed Government Agencies" and I bet this will not be the last.

The attack on a team of top officials of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps [NSCDC], led by the corps’ Commandant-General, Ade Abolurin, by a police inspector is a continuation of a series of attacks on men and officers of the NSCDC by personnel of the Nigerian Police, video and photo evidence have shown. In 2013, the civil defence claimed that two of its men were shot and killed in Ikorodu after police officers attacked them in what it described as a commando attack.

THE MYSTERY FIRE AT THE GLASS HOUSE.

For many football lovers, the mystery fire that gutted the NFF Glass House in Abuja, almost destroying the Accounts Department, has already been tainted  as an act of man, not of God, although proper investigations will tell us which is which.

With news of missing or badly disbursed monies trailing the leadership of the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, after the recent World Cup tournament,  there is no way suspicious Nigerians would not call it sabotage or an attempt at cover-up.

Before they left for Brazil, the Aminu Maigari-led NFF  Board was impeached and later sacked on various alleged charges of misdemeanor.

ADIEU, PROFESSOR DORA AKUNYILI, THE AMAZON!!!!

The whole of this weekend will witness the funeral obsequies of a great Nigerian, an amazon and uncommon public servant, whose exploits in the past fourteen years were unlike any other ever witnessed in our shores.

Professor Dorothy Nkem Akunyili, within this span of time, became a household name not only in Nigeria but also in the wider world where her war against fake food and drugs was acclaimed, with many awards and honours.

Even before she was appointed as the Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Akunyili, a pharmacist and academic, made the news when she returned unspent funds to the defunct Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), where she served as the South East Zonal Secretary. On assumption of office at NAFDAC, Akunyili confronted the entrenched mafia of fake drug importers and miraculously escaped assassination on two occasions. Her eight-year tenure in the Agency made Nigeria a reference point in the global war against fake drugs, for which she missed being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize very narrowly in 2007.

The news was announced by the Minister of Health, Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu, at a news conference in Abuja on Thursday.

The doctor’s passage on Friday, the first outside Lagos, caused panic in Rivers State and worry among health personnel and other stakeholders battling to stamp out the disease in the country. Although Chukwu did not give the identity of the doctor, the Rivers State Government   said he is   Iyke Enemuo.

Cristiano Ronaldo's contribution to Real Madrid CF's UEFA Champions League triumph last season has been recognised with the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award.

The Portugal captain received the 2013/14 accolade at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco from UEFA President Michel Platini. Ronaldo, among the final nominees for the fourth successive year, finished ahead of FC Bayern München's Arjen Robben and Manuel Neuer in a live vote by a panel of 54 journalists who had to select, via an electronic system, their favourite from a three-man shortlist announced a fortnight ago.

Ronaldo, speaking during a ceremony that followed the UEFA Champions League group stage draw, said: "I'm really happy so I must say thanks to my team-mates because without the team, individual awards would not be possible. I don't have this trophy in my museum, so my brother is going to put it there."
