(VIDEO) BOKO HARAM LEADER SHEKAU MOCKS THE #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS CAMPAIGN.

Some are calling it a kind of ‘thumbing of the nose’ to Nigerian leaders and to the Nigerian People. But that seems the motive in the latest ‘non-legal’ attack by a group keeping the Nigerian society on edge.

The leader of the Boko Haram terrorist group, Abubakar Shekau, has vowed not to release more than 200 Chibok schoolgirls in his group's captivity. Shekau is saying the sect will only accede to the #BringBackOurGirls campaign after the release of Boko Haram militants held by the Nigerian government.

Mr. Shekau made the demand in a new video published Sunday, where the Islamist leader restated a position he had maintained since the abduction of the girls by Boko Haram militants April 14.

IMPEACHMENT SAGA - PANEL INDICTS GOV. NYAKO

There were indications last night that the panel raised by the Adamawa State House of Assembly to probe the allegations of misappropriation of funds had indicted the state governor, Murtala Nyako. Also, the panel might have cleared his deputy, Bala James Ngilari. The panel is expected to submit its report to the state House of Assembly today.

It was also gathered that the embattled governor was already considering defecting to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as that remained the only option to escape the impeachment noose hanging on his neck. Erstwhile governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff,  had defected to the PDP and is set to storm Maiduguri, the state capital for a briefing with his supporters today.

A top government official, who is privy to the work of the seven-man panel, confided in Vanguard that the report concluded that Nyako was guilty and should be removed but did not indict Ngilari.

BRILLIANT TWIN GIRLS WHO WERE SET TO BECOME DOCTORS HAVE JOINED ISIS IN SYRIA TO BECOME KILLERS.

Twin schoolgirls who followed their jihadi brother to Syria were hard-working students who hoped to train as doctors. Sixteen-year-olds Salma and Zahra Halane, who last summer achieved 28 GCSEs between them, left their parents’ home in the middle of the night and caught a flight to Turkey, before crossing the border.

Police said the pair are thought to have followed their elder brother, who ditched his own ‘excellent’ academic career to join the ISIS terror group around a year ago. Friends said the twins had appeared to be typical teenagers, pouting for selfies and shopping at Primark – but they are now feared to be training for battle.

Last night a rebel fighter boasted that he was teaching girls as young as 16 how to fight. Yilmaz, a Dutch national who has been in Syria for two years, told Sky News: ‘It’s extremely easy to get here. People go on holiday ... they end up in Syria.’   The twins’ parents raised the alarm last month, after finding the girls’ beds empty and their passports and clothes missing.
