US CITIZEN WITH SUSPECTED CASE OF EBOLA VIRUS DIES IN GHANA!!!!

The threat posed by the Ebola virus which has been ravaging west africa for some months now is not over yet.

Latest reports confirm that the American man who was quarantined at the Nyaho Clinic in Accra on suspicion of carrying the Ebola virus has died.

Meanwhile, The Health Ministry could not confirm, or deny, whether he died of the Ebola virus as earlier reports revealed that the tests run on him for the virus by the Nugochi Memorial Research Institute proved negative.

The US man arrived from Guinea on Sunday and reported at the clinic for medical attention. His case was suspected to be the first Ebola case in Ghana, but with recent developments, it still cannot be confirmed that the deadly virus has entered Ghana.

The outbreak of Ebola has hit several African countries that include Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia, but there have been no confirmed cases found yet in Ghana.

The man, who was believed to have visited Guinea and Sierra Leone in recent weeks, was quarantined at the Nyaho Clinic, a private health facility in the capital, Accra, health officials there say.

Staff at the clinic were also reportedly quarantined, and provided with protective clothing.

The virus has so far killed more than 460 people since it broke out in Guinea in February, and spread within the sub region.

It is the world’s deadliest outbreak to date of the fatal disease which so far has no known cure.
