OBANIKORO EATS HIS WORDS, PROMISES TO WORK WITH AGBAJE..

The immediate past Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, has said he will work with the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, to wrest power from the All Progressives Congress.

Obanikoro had been engaged in a war of words with Agbaje and a leader of the PDP in the state, Chief Bode George, over the party’s controversial governorship primary.

Obanikoro had also sued the party for not attending to a petition he wrote over the party’s conduct of the primary which he described as a sham.

PRESIDENT JONATHAN RECEIVES N21.27BN DONATION FOR RE-ELECTION.

The President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is financially ready to take on his opponents at the forthcoming 2015 general elections as he received a donation of N21.27bn from friends and associates. Aliko Dangote is yet to announce his donation, so this figure will definitely increase by geometric progression.

The candidate of APC, the major opposition party, Rtd General Buhari must be on his toes now, but I am sure the Jagaban, BAT, the Lion of Bourdillon, will fix him up financially.

DR CONGO ARMY GENERAL SENTENCED TO 10YRS IMPRISONMENT FOR RAPE, MURDER AND TORTURE. #SayNoToRAPE

A top Congolese military court on Friday sentenced an former rebel leader turned army general to 10 years in jail for war crimes.

The court ruled that general Jerome Kakwavu was guilty of committing serious violations including the repeated rapes of two females, two murders and acts of torture on two other people.

He had also failed to take "necessary measures" to prevent and stop "war crimes by murder ... committed by men under his command."

WAEC RECORDS 70% FAILURE....

More than 70 percent of the candidates who sat for the 2014 November/ December 2014 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), failed to make five credits, Mathematics and English Language inclusive, the exams body announced Thursday.

Scoring five credits with the two subjects is regarded as the pass mark for the exams. The Head, National Office of the Council, Charles Eguridu, who announced the results Thursday at a news conference in Lagos, said of the total 241,161 candidate who sat for the examinations in 2014, only 72,522 scored five credits with the two key subjects, giving a pass rate of 29.27 percent.

In 2013, out of 298,971 candidates who sat for the exams, a total of 86,612 candidates, representing, 29.17 percent obtained credits in 5 subjects and above including English Language and Mathematics.

MAN STABS HIS WIFE AND HER LOVER TO DEATH AFTER HE FOUND THEM HAVING SEXUAL INTERCOURSE IN A PARK.

A man got the ultimate reward for sleeping with another man's wife when he was fatally stabbed to death alongside his partner by the woman's husband.

Daily News reports that  the stabbing death of a man whose naked body was found outside of a Brooklyn apartment building exposed a sordid love triangle that ended in two killings, not one — and the arrest of a suspect Thursday.

Jerome Barrett, 35, is believed to have been having sex with a co-worker in a car parked near his East New York home early Wednesday when the woman’s husband interrupted their sexual encounter, police sources said.

The husband, Steve Whittingham, 48, stabbed Barrett several times in the chest and did the same to his wife, Jonelle Barker, 36, killing them both, police said in announcing Whittingham’s arrest early Thursday night.

SOUTH AFRICA'S "ROLENE STRAUSS" WINS "MISS WORLD 2014 CONTEST"......

South Africa's representative at the 2014 Miss World contest, "Rolene Strauss", has been named as the winner of the  competition.

The  22 year old who is studying medicine at the University of the Free State, proved that she is both beauty and brains.  Shet beat 10 other semi-finalist to emerge as the new Miss World at the event held in London, on the 14th of December 2014.

A former Niger Delta militant, Mr. Government Ekpemupolo, alia Tompolo, has bought seven decommissioned Norwegian battleships, 

Reports by a Norwegian newspaper, Dagbladet, said that the fast-speed Hauk-class guided missile boats had been re-armed with new weaponry.

The report also revealed that Ekpemupolo’s most recent purchase is a KNM Horten, a fast-attack craft now used in fighting piracy in Nigeria’s waterways.

POLICE BRUTALIZES MAN & WIFE IN LAGOS.

The days of the "MEN IN BLACK" unleashing power on unarmed civilians are definitely not over as the Police in Lagos were at their usual best recently when a couple  fell victim.

Punch reports that a 29-year-old photographer, Ejeh Smith, and his wife, Grace, 26, are in pains and receiving treatment at a Lagos hospital after a police officer, identified as Dada Ogunsanya, allegedly tortured them with his rifle. Ogunsanya is attached to the Ikoyi Police Division.

The incident happened at the Lekki Roundabout on Wednesday, last week, while the couple was in a taxi en route to their home at Parkview Estate. It was learnt that the police officer was among a seven-man team, patrolling the area around 10pm.

Premier Leagues striker, Emmanuel Adebayor  has accused his biological mother of witchcraft which he claims has hindered him from excelling in his Premier League side, Tottenham.

Dailymail reports that his mother has been left heartbroken after her son claimed that she was practicing black magic on him. Emmanuel Adebayor has found himself in the middle of a bizarre family feud after suggesting that his mother was a witch.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker’s family, who live in Africa, accused the star of kicking his mother out of her home. They claim that the footballer’s decision to cut ties with his mother has left her earning just £1-a-day from selling tomatoes.

The 30-year-old star, who earns £170,000-a-week, accused the family of performing ‘juju’ on him, a term given to the practice of witchcraft in West Africa.
